International Business Program Application

About the International Business Program

As one of the preeminent academic health systems in the U.S., Northwell Health (“Northwell”) receives a significant volume of inquiries from global companies seeking to engage with its clinical, research, and business leaders. In response to this outreach, the International Business Program (“IBP”) was established by the Global Strategic Partnerships (“GSP”) team at Northwell in 2016 and is currently operated by Wayfield Global Solutions, Inc., an affiliate of Northwell (“Wayfield”).

The IBP has since been a pioneer in creating pathways for international healthcare and life sciences companies seeking to enter or expand in the U.S. healthcare market. Wayfield offers an application-based pathway that allows companies to formally submit a request for consulting services through the IBP pursuant to a fair, transparent, and efficient process.

Application Process

The application process offers innovative global companies a structured pathway to be considered to receive consulting services from Wayfield. Once the application is submitted, the Wayfield team will conduct a review of the applicant’s materials. Applicants can expect to receive a response regarding next steps within two weeks.

Step 1
Online SubmissionComplete the online application, including review of the terms and conditions of the program and payment of the non-refundable application fee of $200. This fee covers administrative processing, preliminary evaluation, and screening activities conducted by the Wayfield team.
Step 2
Internal ReviewApplications are assessed by the Wayfield team.
Step 3
Screening ConsultationApplicants meeting threshold criteria will be invited to a preliminary screening call with the Wayfield team to discuss alignment for consulting services and to clarify next steps.
Step 4
Next Steps DeterminedFollowing the screening call, applicants may: (1) be invited for a follow-on consultation; or (2) be informed that there will be no further action.
Note: Submitting an application and paying the fee does not create or guarantee a partnership, clinical engagement, or any other business engagement with Wayfield, Northwell, or their affiliates; it gives applicants an opportunity to receive formal consideration for consulting services. Companies interested in a potential business engagement other than receiving Wayfield’s consulting services should submit materials to the appropriate Northwell department (e.g., the Office of Procurement, the Feinstein Institutes for Medical Research, etc.), and the Wayfield team may direct applicants to do so.
